Question Pattern of UPSC Prelims
Prelims exam consists of the multiple-choice questions in two different papers that is GS-I and CSAT. Students should have to prepare well for this exam as there is negative marking system. More than 5 to 6 lakh students take part in this exam and only 10 to 12 thousand students get selected for UPSC Main exam.
In General Studies Question Paper-
There will be 100 questions in MCQ form and the full marks will be 200. The time duration will be only 2 hours and every 3 wrong questions, two marks will be deducted. In this section, questions will be from current events of the country and world, history, geography, Indian politics, economics, general science, development and etc.
CSAT Question paper
In this section, questions will be in objective form. Comprehension will be given to them and have to answer according to that. Apart from this, communication skills, logical & reasoning skill, decision making ability, mental ability and few other skills will be tested.
Total 80 questions will be in this section and full marks will be 200. Time duration will be 2 hours with negative marking system.
